Park City, Utah – Highest number of first quarter sales since 2007 —Statistics compiled by the Park City Board of REALTORS® Multiple Listing Service show the number of closed sales for the first quarter of 2014 (including single family homes, condominiums and vacant land) is higher than it has been for a first quarter since 2007. Surprisingly, with Park City real estate in strong demand, with total dollar volume just shy of $327 million (an 11% increase over Q1 of 2013) and with inventory still at record lows, median prices for the Greater Park City Area have increased by only 2% in the past year and are still well below the market…
Yesterday, Ski Utah and Area Resorts unveiled ONE Wasatch, a concept which explores the idea of connecting the seven central Wasatch ski areas. Connecting Alta Ski Area, Brighton Resort, Canyons Resort, Deer Valley Resort, Park City Mountain Resort, Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort, and Solitude Mountain Resort would create the largest lift-served ski experience in North America-18,000 acres, 100 lifts, 750 runs all on one pass. At this time, resort partners have no specific execution timelines or chairlift alignments.
Park City, Utah - April 26, 2013 – Park City Board of REALTORS® just released statistics for the first quarter of 2013 showing the number of sales are up 17% from the first quarter of 2012. The sales dollar volume is up 28% over the same time-period last year, climbing from $239 million in Q1 of 2012 to over $306 million for Q1 of 2013. With 402 closed sales already this year, Mark Seltenrich, Statistician for the Park City Board of REALTORS® said, “This is the best first quarter we have seen since 2007.”

Realtors and brokers agree: the Park City housing market is on the road to recovery. Seller and buyers are negotiating more, looking for the compromise rather than selling below home value or demanding bottom-dollar prices up front.
According to the Park City Board of Realtors, the Park City area just experienced its highest number of sales and sales pending of any first half of the year since 2007, before the housing market crash. A total of 486 properties were sold since the start of the year with a total sales volume of $347,392,785.
